Digital signage for healthcare, in plain terms.

Digital signage for healthcare covers the screens across a hospital, clinic, or practice: waiting-room information, department wayfinding, reception and check-in displays, and wellness or public-health content, all run from one content management system. LiveSign is that CMS.

Content is scheduled or updated centrally, so every waiting area shows current information rather than a printed sheet from last month. The reason to run it centrally is consistency across departments that each keep their own hours and their own messaging. Group displays by department, set each area's content and schedule, and update from one place. Facilities teams get proof that a screen is actually displaying content, not just powered on.

Data and content policy is the constraint that usually decides the deployment. Where signage infrastructure has to stay inside facility-controlled systems, the Live CMS can be self-hosted on your own servers rather than the LiveSign cloud, with dedicated self-hosting support on the Enterprise plan.

THE BRIEF

The problems you actually have, and what Live does about them.

No feature list. Four situations healthcare teams hit, and the part of Live CMS that answers each one.

THE PROBLEM

Waiting room screens with outdated information reduce patient confidence in the facility.

HOW LIVE HELPS

Schedule and update waiting-room content centrally in Live CMS, across every display in the facility.

THE PROBLEM

Healthcare data and content policy may require signage infrastructure to stay entirely within facility-controlled systems.

HOW LIVE HELPS

Self-hosted deployment is supported, with dedicated support included on the Enterprise plan.

THE PROBLEM

Multiple departments (reception, wards, waiting areas) need different content shown on their own schedules.

HOW LIVE HELPS

Group displays by department and control user access by group.

THE PROBLEM

Facilities teams need confirmation screens are actually displaying content correctly, not just powered on.

HOW LIVE HELPS

Display Admin provides real-time monitoring with proof-of-play data per display.

WHERE IT RUNS

The screens healthcare teams actually put up, and what goes on them.

Six places a screen earns its keep, and the content that belongs on each one.

Waiting areas

Clinic information, expected wait guidance, health-awareness content, and service updates, scheduled to keep the room current and calm.

Department wayfinding

Directional screens for outpatients, imaging, pharmacy, and wards, grouped by floor so a route change updates every panel in that zone at once.

Reception and check-in

Queue guidance, self-check-in instructions, and appointment or registration information at the point patients arrive.

Ward and corridor

Visiting hours, infection-control reminders, and ward-specific notices on screens staff and visitors pass.

Public health and seasonal campaigns

Vaccination, screening, and seasonal-pressure messaging scheduled with a firm start and end across every site at once.

Staff areas

Rota information, training notices, and internal communications on screens for clinical and support teams, on the same CMS and login structure.

HARDWARE

Runs on the screens you already have.

Healthcare estates lean towards a managed, locked-down endpoint. Windows fits sites that already image and patch PCs centrally. Linux suits organisations running a controlled Linux build. Android covers smaller sites and clinics where a compact player on the back of the screen is enough.

LICENSING

Self-host it, and own the software rather than rent it.

Where policy requires signage to stay on facility-controlled infrastructure, the Live CMS runs self-hosted on your own servers, with dedicated self-hosting support on the Enterprise plan. The perpetual licence lets the organisation own the software outright instead of carrying a recurring per-screen cost. The Professional plan at $12 per display per month is available where a cloud subscription is acceptable.

Digital signage for healthcare: common questions

Can the system run entirely on our own infrastructure?

Yes. The Live CMS can be self-hosted on your own servers instead of the LiveSign cloud, which is the usual choice where signage has to stay inside facility-controlled systems. Dedicated support for self-hosted deployments is included on the Enterprise plan.

Can each department control its own screens and schedule?

Yes. Group displays by department, set each area's content and timing, and control access by user group so a department manages only its own screens.

How do facilities teams confirm a screen is working?

Display Admin shows every display in real time with proof-of-play data per screen, so you can see what is actually playing where, not just whether the screen has power.

How does LiveSign meet a hospital’s data-handling requirements?

Through the deployment model. Facilities with strict data-handling rules run the self-hosted deployment, so the CMS, the content and the user administration stay inside the trust’s or hospital’s own environment, under the controls and audits it already operates. Signage content is also rarely patient data in the first place: wayfinding, department boards and waiting-room information sit outside the clinical systems entirely. Send your requirements to sales before deployment and they will be answered directly.

Do we have to replace existing screens?

No. Live runs on Windows, Linux, or Android players on the screens you already have, and natively on Samsung Tizen and LG webOS commercial displays.

Is there a trial?

Yes. 14 days, a choice of two players, no credit card.
