Do I need a screen / display to try Live?

You don’t need a screen to try the Live CMS, but our 14 day Trial comes with access to your choice of two Live Players and to make use of these, you’ll need to connect them to a screen / display.

Can I self host on the Professional, Business or Enterprise plans?

You can self host with support on our Enterprise plan, but we would recommend you take advantage of our Live in the Cloud hosting solution which is included in all of our Plans, excluding Independent Pricing.

How does Live for webOS know what to play and when?

Our webOS player will connect with its Live CMS over HTTP or HTTPS. It will then download the scheduled digital signage, cache it, and then display it from local storage when the time is right.

Can I use Live for video walls?

Yes, Live can be configured to output to video walls. Live for Windows is the only Player capable of doing this. A guide on how to set this up can be found in our documentation.

Are player license upgrades included in the Plans?

Upgrades are included in the price on Professional, Business and Enterprise plans. Customers with Independent pricing and perpetual licenses will need to purchase upgrades as normal. Existing Customers with Independent pricing and subscription licenses have upgrades included so long as their subscription is kept active.

Can the webOS player be used in an offline digital signage network?

Yes, Live for webOS can be used in offline digital signage networks when an On-Premise Licensing Module is purchased and deployed. This is an add on only available via our Independent Pricing with Perpetual licensing.

Can the Tizen player be used in an offline digital signage network?

Yes, Live for Tizen can be used in offline digital signage networks when an On-Premise Licensing Module is purchased and deployed. This is an add on only available via our Independent Pricing with Perpetual licensing.

How often do you release updates for Live for Windows?

We aim to release minor/patch updates for our Windows Player every one to two months and a new major version of Live for Windows every 12-18 months.
