CAREERS
Build the thing people walk past every day.
Live runs in a museum in Abu Dhabi, a hotel tower in Dubai and across 700+ screens in a retail network. Four roles build and support that. None of them is open today, and this is the page where an opening will appear.
START HERE
The work is a product, not a backlog of tickets.
Live CMS drives six native players from one browser tab, and the players run on everything from a Samsung panel to an HDMI stick behind a shop TV. Whatever you work on here is in front of somebody within the week.
The people who build Live answer the Help Desk. That cuts both ways and it is worth being clear about: you will see your own bugs arrive as tickets from a customer in another country, and you will fix them yourself. It is also the reason support here is worth anything.
The team works remotely from across the UK and has done since 2019. Outside the UK, Live is delivered through named regional partners, so the commercial role works a channel as much as a direct pipeline.
AT A GLANCE
- Where
- A UK company, working remotely across the country.
- What you would work on
- Live CMS and six native players, running on screens from single sites to 700+.
- Support hours
- The Help Desk runs 8:00 to 18:00 GMT/BST. Engineering is not on a pager rota.
- Open roles today
- None. The four roles below are the ones LiveSign recruits for.
- How to apply
- Send a CV and a short note to info@livesign.uk. Speculative applications are read.
THE ROLES
Four roles, and what each one actually does.
None is recruiting today. They are here because they are the roles LiveSign hires for, and because a speculative CV against one of them gets read.
Player Engineer
Engineering · Remote, UK
The native players are the product on the wall. This role builds and maintains them across Android, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS, where the same scheduling behaviour has to hold on three very different runtimes.
WHAT THE ROLE COVERS
- Build and maintain the Android, Tizen and webOS players against a shared CMS contract.
- Keep playback correct when the network is not: local caching, recovery, and the check-in cycle.
- Test on real hardware. The Android device list alone runs from SoC panels to HDMI sticks to LED controllers.
- Work with support on field diagnostics, so a fault on a screen in another country is reproducible here.
Full-Stack Engineer, Live CMS
Engineering · Remote, UK
Live CMS is where a whole screen network is built, scheduled and watched from one browser tab. This role works across its web application and the API the six players talk to.
WHAT THE ROLE COVERS
- Build features across the CMS: layouts, scheduling, campaigns, media and data sets.
- Work on Display Admin, the real-time monitoring and proof-of-play side of the product.
- Keep the player-facing API stable across six platforms and several player releases.
- Support both deployment models: LiveSign-hosted, and self-hosted on a customer’s own infrastructure.
Technical Support Engineer
Support · Remote, UK
The Help Desk is answered by people who know the product rather than a scripted first tier, and this is that role. It is the job with the most direct contact with how Live actually behaves in the field.
WHAT THE ROLE COVERS
- Run the Help Desk during published hours, 8:00 to 18:00 GMT/BST.
- Diagnose player and CMS issues across Windows, Android, Linux, webOS, Tizen and BrightSign.
- Support self-hosted installations and the network configuration they need.
- Turn recurring tickets into documentation, or into a bug the engineering side can act on.
Sales Account Manager
Sales · Remote, UK
Live sells directly and through named regional partners. This role carries both: end customers sizing a rollout, and the integrators who resell and white-label the platform in their own markets.
WHAT THE ROLE COVERS
- Own the pipeline from first enquiry through to a sized, quoted rollout.
- Work the perpetual-versus-subscription conversation properly, because it is the reason most customers arrive.
- Support the reseller, channel partner and distributor tiers, and the white-label programme.
- Work with partners across Europe, the Middle East and North America alongside direct UK business.
BEFORE YOU SEND ANYTHING
What gets read first
A link to something real beats a covering letter every time. A repository, a product you shipped, a network you ran, a screen you can point at. For the engineering roles, tell us what broke on it and what you did about it.
Say which of the four roles you are closest to. A CV sent against a named role gets a proper read; one sent against all of them does not tell us anything.
Working at LiveSign: common questions
Is LiveSign hiring right now?
Not at the moment. The roles listed on this page are the ones LiveSign recruits for, and this page is where an opening will appear when there is one. Speculative applications are still read, so if one of these roles is what you do, send a CV to info@livesign.uk rather than waiting.
What roles does LiveSign hire for?
Three technical and one commercial: Player Engineer, working on the native Android, Tizen and webOS players; Full-Stack Engineer on Live CMS and the API the players talk to; Technical Support Engineer running the Help Desk and field diagnostics; and Sales Account Manager, covering direct customers and the reseller channel.
Are these roles remote?
Yes. LiveSign is a UK company and the team works remotely from across the UK rather than from one office, and has done since the company was founded in 2019.
Do engineers here talk to customers?
Yes, and it is deliberate. The people who build Live are the people who answer the Help Desk, which is why a support ticket reaches someone who knows the codebase instead of a scripted first tier. If you would rather never see a customer ticket, this is not the right team.
How do I apply speculatively?
Send a CV and a short note to info@livesign.uk saying which of the four roles you are closest to and what you have built. A link to something real, a repository, a product you shipped or a network you ran, is worth more than a covering letter.
NOTHING OPEN TODAY
Send it anyway.
If one of these four roles is what you do, a CV and a link to something you built is worth sending now rather than waiting for a posting.
